Accessorise Your Wedding Dress

Once you have chosen your wedding gown, it is time to start thinking how to accessorise it with pretty details such as jewellery and head pieces. You need to make a coherent style with each accessory complimenting your dress. After the gown, jewellery is the most important part of your wedding look, so you need to make a clever choice. It can be something subtle and discrete like a thin necklace and a pair of delicate earrings which will add a hint of sparkle to your styling, or an interesting bold and colourful detail.

Be careful not to overdo it, so try to make a good balance. If you have a beaded wedding dress, all you need is a pair of matching earrings to make a stunning appearance, while classical satin gown always looks good with a diamond jewellery or white pearls.

Bracelets by Tiffany & Co.

A pretty bracelet can be a fair addition to your overall look, but you should match it with the rest of your jewellery. If you are wearing pearls, a pearl bracelet will look great on you, and if you prefer vintage style, make sure that you find a bracelet that blends in nicely.

When choosing a necklace, it is best to pair with your neckline. Plunging neckline goes well with a pendant necklace while a sweetheart dress looks beautiful with pearls.

You can also let earrings be your key accessory! If you are wearing a strapless dress, you can skip the necklace and use a pair of chandelier earrings instead. For traditional brides who prefer diamonds, a pair of pear shaped diamond earrings and a diamond choker will look great with a white fairytale wedding dress.

Hair Comb by Chelsea De Luca

Pretty hair comb adorned with flowers or shiny crystals is a great option if your hair is tied in a big, nicely textured bun. You may choose discrete pair of earrings that matches it.

Head Band by Jenny Packham

From fresh flowers and satin ribbons to crystal studded head bands and tiaras, a well chosen head piece can add a bit of glamour and significantly improve your wedding outfit. You can use shiny beads, feathers and flowers to match your flapper style dress or simply decorate your veil with roses for a classic look.

Gloves are a very chic and elegant detail. Long satin gloves will look wonderful with a traditional dress while you can wear a pair of lace ones to accessorise your vintage style gown.

Of course, the most important accessory on the wedding day will be your wedding ring. Choosing the one that matches your engagement ring is a brilliant idea!
