Bridal Fashion Week Spring 2014…

It's that time of year again for Spring Bridal Fashion Week. Although we are approaching the colder months we can still admire all of the amazing bridal fashion for when those warmer months arrive!

Marchesa's romantic, airy gowns featured fitted corsets with ruffled, cascading layers of tulle and cocktail dresses were featured in beautiful lace details. Marchesa definitely mastered the subtly-sexy gown for Spring, with shoulder-baring creations taking centre stage.

Featuring a gorgeous array of silhouettes and styles, Monique Lhuillier’s spring 2014 collection has something for every bride. From short cocktail dresses for more casual affairs, to show-stopping ball gowns of delicate lace and tulle for the ultimate fairytale wedding. Monique still stayed true to her signature feminine style with the added details of intricate, embroidered sleeves and stunning open back silhouettes.

With a lineup of fairy-tale gowns, silk organza, voluminous ruffles and romantic Chantilly lace, Oscar de la Renta's spring collection did not disappoint. The collection was all about dreamy details – floral appliqués, shimmering bead work, and delicate ladylike gloves.

After seasons of experimenting with colour Vera Wang opted for a modern colour palette of black and white. The collection was packed full of modern silhouettes, bolf black and white gowns with geometric patterns and black accents including full-length leather gloves.

Little Peach Co. Letterpress Printing

What bride doesn't love letterpress? Little Peach Co. have recently opened a brand new shop in Brisbane, and they are obsessed with all things paper and design, with a love for customising wedding stationery on a bride-by-bride basis.

Letterpress printing uses a photopolymer or lead plate with a raised surface which is inked and pressed into a sheet of thick fluffy paper, to create a beautiful three-dimensional deep impression.

Little Peach Co. use a rubber based ink, which is weighed with accuracy and mixed by hand to create custom colours. Everything is done in-store by hand, from designing the printing blocks, to mixing the ink and stamping into the thick cotton card. This means no two pieces are entirely identical, and everything is created just for you.

Lovefield – For Brides Who Live For Style

When gifted graphic designer, Lena Tarasenko, was planning her own wedding she found that while there are lots of beautiful stationery options out there, much of it is similar in style.

Ben Albrecht Jewellery

Ben Albrecht, the youngest member of Melbourne fine jewellery retail institution, Kozminsky, has grown up around beautiful things. Ben’s knowledge, passion and instinct for a fine jewel is perhaps a family trait, but Ben has taken this a step further as he has since perfectly positioned himself to take advantage of the revolution in the retail, as he has launched his new business, Ben Albrecht Jewellery, online.

Ben Albrecht Jewellery puts the customer in the centre of the retail process, the customer does not come to Ben, Ben goes to the customer. A simple, but revolutionary model for the highly traditional and conservative fine jewellery business as Ben Albrecht has observed that many people are price checking online, even with expensive items such as diamonds.

The Ben Albrecht Jewellery consultation process is centered on the request of the client. Often very discerning, Ben’s clients will request a specific carat or clarity in a diamond or gemstone. Ben will go to great lengths to source beautiful, clear gems and will work collaboratively with the client in designing exceptional, yet individual pieces of jewellery.

Ben brings to the table several generations of ‘Albrecht’ contacts, and this knowledge all underpinned by a solid bedrock of trust and accountability, which is something not always accessible through the Internet.

Ben Albrecht Jewellery also offers a collection of sublime jewels, gems and precious adornments which can be bought online. From important pearl strand necklaces, to singular standout diamond rings and idiosyncratic cuff links for the debonair millionaire, Ben Albrecht Jewellery is bringing a bespoke version of Melbourne retail finesse to the front door.
