Vintage Garden Real Life Wedding
Photographer Nicola Dilllon has truly captured the liveliness of the occasion and the gorgeous detailing! Kelli shares her ‘Bride’s Diary’ with us!

“On our wedding day, we girls spent the day getting ready at Ravensthorpe, the beautiful 19th Century home where our ceremony and reception were to be held. We all enjoyed being pampered over a champagne brunch, and I was extremely excited to finally wear my dress that had been so carefully created over the months leading up to this day. My bridesmaids’ dresses were a similar v-neck style, which complemented my dress perfectly. Brad wore a dark grey pinstriped suit and his groomsmen wore a lighter shade of grey, which provided a nice contrast and added a touch of individuality”

“The weather was stunning and we were married under the rotunda in front of our family and best friends. Everything took place within Ravensthorpe’s grounds including our photo shoot, during which our guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the courtyard. “

“The reception was celebrated in a beautifully decorated marquee at the back of the property. Flowers, themed in white and cream with lots of foliage, were central to all our decorations. Petals were scattered down the aisle and tall floral arrangements in champagne style vases featured on each of the guest tables. The marquee and courtyard were also decorated with flowers. Tea candles and fairy lights were scattered everywhere and as the day turned into night, these looked stunning!”
We chose cream-coloured love heart lollypops in a variety of flavours for our bomboniere. Tagged with our guests’ names, these sweet treats made perfect place ‘cards’ on the guest tables. Our bridal party overnighted at Ravensthorpe, so we could all celebrate and reminisce the next morning over breakfast. It was the perfect ending to an amazing few days.

Something Uniquely Blue!
Are you a bride who wants to exude tradition but with a little twist?
As tradition entails, a bride may include in their wedding day something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Be it their ‘new’ dress, an ‘old’ wedding heirloom or a ‘borrowed’ piece of jewellery, sometimes a bride can be a little bewildered as to what ‘blue’ they could incorporate into their wedding day without going for typical items such as a garter or accessory.
If you are a bride that is not afraid to wear something daring, why not consider a chic pair of blue heels for your day!?!
Flickers of colour beneath your dress as you walk down the aisle or a hidden surprise during your traditional garter toss could be something unique and a great way to honour this tradition!
In accordance to our BLUE vintage theme this week, The Bride’s Diary has soured some chic blue heels to complement your aisle style!

Aqua & Pink Real Life Wedding
"It was really important to me that the style of our wedding reflected us as a couple. I wanted to include that personal touch with a hint of tradition too After almost two years of planning, the day finally came. We were also moving to London so it was a busy time! We could not have asked for a better day! The bridesmaids dresses were a design created together as group and the dressmaker was wonderful in helping the design come to life."
"After a beautiful ceremony, the bridal party went to the Botanic Gardens for drinks and photos. Kym, our photographer, made our day – the photos are brilliant. "
"Finally the overall style of the reception reflected our love of family, partying and generally having a good time. The bright colours, fresh flowers and fairy lights created a fun and happy atmosphere that encouraged our guests to relax and enjoy themselves. I designed and made the bonbonniere candles. They reminded me of a special trip John and I had taken to Thailand. The pink Bonbonniere bags were then put together by my close family as an Italian tradition. The cake that we chose represented our new journey and adventure with a small suitcase on the top, plus the flavour of mint chocolate had been a favourite of ours forever. Overall we had a magical day that represented us as a couple, I couldn’t have asked for anything more!" Samantha Wills Accessories

These gorgeous accessories by Samantha Wills perfectly complement our Vintage Blue Styling Theme. We love the antique-look styles and the vibrant blue colours. Perfect for brides and bridesmaids!
